Traditionally, the field of medicine has been focused on the treatment and management of illness or conditions in the hopes of stopping the process.  Whether it is osteoarthritis, heart disease, autoimmune disease, or most other health problems, medical research has been driven to stop these processes.  During this effort, it became clear that some patients not only saw a halt to the progression of their condition, they saw a reversal of the disease process.

Further investigation has shown that this process of disease reversal, or regeneration, is brought about by the body's own stem cell population.  Stem cells are present in all of the body's living tissues.  They do not migrate significantly from where they are at birth.  Their job is to repair damaged tissue, and they do this very well when we are young.  As aging occurs, however, these cells can become depleted or they can lose their ability to repair tissue.  This is believed to be the major cause of degeneration in our bodies.

Arizona Stem Cell Research Center is dedicated to unraveling and harnessing the possibilities by using a stem cell population that most people have in great abundance and deploying them in areas of degeneration.  This exciting area of research is being conducted under proper IRB approved protocol and complies with current FDA rules.

We invite you to explore the exciting new area of research that is regenerative medicine with the use of stem cells.  If you are interested in learning more, Click Here.
