Volume restoration with fat grafting is a widely accepted method to add volume to the face, breast and buttock. Patients may opt for stem cells to be used to “supercharge” the fat graft. It is believed that this may help the long-term survival of the graft and to support the graft and the surrounding soft tissue of the area treated.

Medications with varying side effects can slow the progression of this progressive muscular disease characterized by weakness, muscle cramps and difficulty swallowing. Following IRB approved study protocols, we are exploring the effectiveness of systemic dosing of autologous stem cells and the stromal fractional gradient to see if this can help patients reset their immune response so that some of these symptoms may improve.
